A rocky start

Carved out of the Eifel Mountain, Nürburgring is one of the most difficult tracks in the world, which Jackie Stewart once called “The Green Hell”. The track is known for its narrow sections and tight corners – chief among them the famous North Loop. The A470 No. 36, which was sixth on the starting grid, had some catching up to do.

The team raced neck and neck with its competitors for five long hours while keeping the tires intact. A window opened when Nicolas Lapierre took the wheel. He was finally able to pass and seized third place by pulling out all the stops to narrow the gap.

The power of teamwork

The third place finish on German soil hoisted No. 36 to third place on the leader board. The entire team worked as one, enabling each of the three drivers to get into gear and stay in the running for a place on the podium.
